The Walk

change, creative-writing, life, Poetry, time

I like to walk around sunset

As light and dark ensue

A dog barks it’s two cents

A shallow tree’s shade

Mimicks comfort

Tracing my footsteps

Fades of half

Shadows I once created

Drawn to bask

Unlike change

I am foreign; to some.

Hello

change, creative-writing, life, poem, Poetry, time

Hello

How long has it been?
Notice how these days
The majority assigns
“What’s tolerant”

I’m okay (don’t ask)
The less I speak
The louder I become
It’s confusing
Like putting a (?)
Where there should be a (.)

They say (who are they by the way)
“All the answers you seek reside in you”
I’ve dug deep but still can’t tell
If it was just a rhetorical saying
Left to satisfy the truth

Let’s deal with some uncomfortable truths
What is love? What is happiness?
That’s a genuine (?) I don’t know
Maybe it’s because I don’t feel I deserve to
Being your own best friend can be hard too
Noises of time echo louder
Are you ready to join the crowd, yes, you?
