NOT                                          ICE

creative-writing, life, love, memories, poem, time

Notice how little you notice?

That lull in your ear

The one you get every so often

Mirror into bird relays; chirp chirp

Footsteps reconnect…

A dog barks it’s two cents

Shadow’s waltz In & out

The slight quiver in her voice

When she laughs

HA HA…HA

How in a group of people

Only your eyes meet “hey”

That false trip she does

Just to hold on to you a little longer

Notice how little you notice?

Sunset, sunrise, timelines

                                   Your unnerving gaze
                                          Doesn’t ever change
                                      With a degree of certainty
                                          My trust was gained
                                            I confess to you
                                      Searching for reality again
                                        No words were spoken
But i know you felt my pain
We talk for hours on end
                                     Breaking through the chains
                                        You never get restless
                                       Or even try to complain
                                          When time runs up
                                   The awkward silence remains
                                          Our session is over
                                       Goodbye’s we exchange
                                        I take one last glimpse
                                        Only to find it strange
                               That my reflection stares back
                                    Through the mirror it frames

Crêtes de clair de lune

creative-writing, life, nature, Poetry, time

Moonlight peaks up

As two dim arrows cross paths                                 A Milky Way mist engulfs
And defiles the air’s chast-ity
Twin lit hollows
Scope the night as it prolongs
The willow tree, in all its beauty
Now haunts for bonds

Chilly dark allure of sorts
Walk along with heads held high
Sometimes as sound slows to a dull
You can faintly hear the wind whistle
A body of water lies awake
For sleep is not levied
Whilst men of all ages
Stop to reflect, before their taking

Tokens left behind
On seemingly lifeless plants
True some live much more than we
Short is the lifespan
If perchance discovered
With a candle to light
Doth it not seem treasure
Left in plain sight

Have at it

creative-writing, life, memories, Poetry, time

Have at it, the course of derail

Impenetrable only to the naïve
Stick a fork in it, yolk out its ingenuity
Denial, lifted on shoulders
Two sizes to small
Rupture pumped veins red-dry
Simplistic, ABC, 123
Rhythm a steady non-discordant
Hefty mind-ogling nonsense
Whisper’d, ear to ear, tongue to tongue
Eccentric, Unique, or downright odd
Life’s many clueless ventures
Flicker black & white plainness
Into yellow & orange peachiness
Mute hollow jagged, yet
The catch is, there is none
All the swirl of letters
Left dancing into the void
Spell, though somewhat
Obscenely R-i-p-p-e-r
Care to Have at it
Repetition duly noted
Calm applause dies out
French leave…

Hello

change, creative-writing, life, poem, Poetry, time

Hello

How long has it been?
Notice how these days
The majority assigns
“What’s tolerant”

I’m okay (don’t ask)
The less I speak
The louder I become
It’s confusing
Like putting a (?)
Where there should be a (.)

They say (who are they by the way)
“All the answers you seek reside in you”
I’ve dug deep but still can’t tell
If it was just a rhetorical saying
Left to satisfy the truth

Let’s deal with some uncomfortable truths
What is love? What is happiness?
That’s a genuine (?) I don’t know
Maybe it’s because I don’t feel I deserve to
Being your own best friend can be hard too
Noises of time echo louder
Are you ready to join the crowd, yes, you?
